Getting Started
Donna’s Dashboard is a centralized workspace for managing vacation rental operations. It brings together financial performance, property activity, guest bookings, invoicing, expenses, and maintenance tracking in one place.
Invoices represent the total amount charged to the guest, including taxes.
Expenses are tracked separately and reduce overall profit.
Dashboard
The Dashboard provides a high-level view of current operations.
- View daily operations including occupancy, check-ins, check-outs, and turnovers
- Monitor turnovers and cleaning activity
- See property performance at a glance
- Click property cards to open the property calendar
- Use charts to visually compare property performance
Portfolio Overview
The Portfolio Overview page focuses on monthly performance across all properties.
- Use Previous, Current Month, and Next to move between months
- Use the month and year dropdowns for direct navigation
- Review net revenue, expenses, and net profit across all properties
- Compare occupancy and profit across properties
- Click property cards to drill into the calendar view
Calendar
The Calendar view helps track reservations and turnovers by property.
- View bookings by month
- See check-ins and check-outs
- Identify turnover dates
- Review cleaning status for each property
- Navigate month-to-month for scheduling visibility
Properties
The Properties section stores the individual rental units managed in the system.
- View all configured properties
- Open property details
- Support financial and occupancy reporting
- Provide the foundation for bookings and expenses
Bookings
The Bookings section is used to manage guest reservation records.
- Add new bookings
- Edit existing bookings
- Delete incorrect or cancelled bookings
- Track guest name, stay dates, rates, fees, and totals
- Drive revenue calculations throughout the application
Invoices
Invoices allow you to bill and track payment status for bookings.
- Create invoices from bookings
- Track status as Draft, Sent, Paid, or Cancelled
- View PayPal and Venmo payment links
- Mark invoices as Sent or Paid as needed
- Support payment visibility and follow-up
Expenses
Expenses are used to record property-related costs.
- Add expenses by property
- Track monthly spending
- Include costs in profit calculations
- Support portfolio and property-level reporting
Maintenance
Maintenance helps track turnovers, cleaning, and operational tasks.
- Monitor pending cleaning work
- Track turnovers connected to bookings
- Mark tasks complete
- Support day-to-day operational readiness

- Keep bookings accurate so dashboard totals remain reliable
- Enter expenses regularly for better monthly reporting
- Update invoice statuses promptly as payments are received
- Check the Calendar and Maintenance areas often to stay ahead of turnovers
